Velvet Brazilian Sip - Recipe
Explanation of Aroma, Taste, and Sensation:
The Velvet Brazilian Sip offers a journey through the heart of Brazil’s coffee territory. The aroma is reminiscent of a freshly baked hazelnut-chocolate cake, enticing and warm. On your first sip, expect the chocolatey richness to envelope your palate, followed by subtle notes of roasted nuts and perhaps a hint of caramel. The sensation is velvety and smooth, like a gentle embrace. The finish is clean with a slight sweetness lingering, urging you for another sip. The drink not only warms the body but the soul, making it perfect for quiet reflections or intimate conversations. Enjoy your authentic Brazilian experience!
Ingredients:
Freshly Roasted Bacana Coffee Brazilian Beans
Directions:
Coffee Grind Size: Medium-fine grind. Brazilian coffee beans are naturally sweet, often with notes of chocolate and nuts. A medium-fine grind will ensure optimal extraction of these flavors during brewing.
Calibration: Ensure that your coffee machine or espresso machine is calibrated to deliver water at a temperature of approximately 200°F (93°C). A slightly lower temperature will ensure you extract the smooth and chocolatey undertones of the Brazilian coffee without over-extracting and making it bitter.
Dosage: For every 6 ounces (180 mL) of water, use 15 grams of ground Brazilian coffee.
Detailed Process:
Bean Selection and Storage: Always use freshly roasted Brazilian coffee beans. Store them in a cool, dark place in an airtight container to preserve their aroma and flavor.
Water Quality: Always use filtered water. The quality of the water is vital to brewing an excellent coffee. Ensure it's free from impurities or off-flavors that could detract from the coffee's natural flavors.
Grinding: Grind your Brazilian coffee beans to a medium-fine consistency just before brewing. This consistency is slightly coarser than table salt. Freshly ground beans will always yield a better tasting coffee.
Brewing: Use your preferred method of brewing - be it French press, pour-over, or an espresso machine. For this recipe, let’s go with a pour-over method for a clean taste.
Wet the coffee filter with hot water to remove any papery taste.
Discard the rinse water.
Place the freshly ground Brazilian coffee in the filter.
Begin pouring the hot water over the coffee grounds in a slow, circular motion, ensuring all the grounds are saturated.
Allow the coffee to bloom for about 30 seconds.
Continue pouring the water slowly until you've reached the desired volume.
Allow the coffee to drip through completely.
Serving: Pour the brewed coffee into a pre-warmed cup. Serve immediately.
